Freshly Made Sketches #616

It's been ages since I submitted a card for a sketch challenge, so decided to take a try at the latest challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
I started with a 5 x 7 base card in a light green shade then added a darker green layer to the center. The second layer is a designer floral paper. I stamped a sentiment (Stampin' Up!) in green (on white card stock) then attached it to the center of the card. Since the designer paper had a gold tone to it, I added leaves in green and metallic gold, then finished it off with a little gold bling.

Angled Tri-Fold Card

Here it is, the end of 2023, and one of my final cards for the year is a Thinking of You angled tri-fold card. I found this fun and easy card design on Lisa's Stamp Studio website (link below post). The card is a regular A-2 size made with brown card stock, Ella Blue designer paper, and a center die cut shape stamped with Thinking of you (a Stampin' Up! image). The brown card stock with the blue and brown designer paper just makes this card pop.

Altenew Golden Days Flower Stencil Card

I have become a big fan of Altenew rubber stamps, stencils, embossing folders and more. I recently ordered the Golden Days flower (4 layer) stencil after seeing what a gorgeous card it makes.
I started with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" white card layer with golden dots. Using Stampin' Up! pink dye inks and ink blending brushes, I stenciled the colors on to acheive light and dark pinks on my flower. The different layers of the stencils make the color shading so easy. Once the flower was finished, I simply stamped Birthday Wishes at the top right. I then backed it with a layer of black card stock and attached it to a 6" x 6" pink card.
This stencil set is sold at Altenew.com,
Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamp.com

Flying Crane Washi Paper Card

Some of my favorite papers to use on cards is Japanese Yuzen Chiyogami Washi paper. I purchase my Washi paper on Etsy because they have such a wide range of patterned Washi origami papers. The 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" card below was made with a gold-tinted Japanese design Washi paper for the background. The center image is a stamped crane, embossed in gold. This card is one of my favorites for the layout and the finished design.

Multi Layered Teacup of Roses Card

This card was made a long time ago. In fact, I think it is one of the first cards I ever made (with the limited supplies I had on hand at the time). I like the idea of alternate multi-layers, so made the card below with only a designer paper and black card stock. I used square templates to cut out the layers then added them to a square base card. I stamped and embossed (in white) a Hero Arts "Roses in Teacup" image on the final (smallest) layer for the center of the card. I love the way this card came out.

Golden Butterfly Hello

I really enjoy using gold metallic paper and cardstock on cards. I also like square cards, so today decided to make a card I have been thinking about.
I started with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" card made with gold floral cardstock. I die cut an oval opening in the top right and placed a gold metallic (die cut) butterfly over the opening. At the bottom left I added a die cut 'hello'. Inside I stamped a birthday greeting sentiment.
